Guncles

by Dan Marshall & Bixby Elliot
Sitcom Pilot, Mulitepisode – Half-hour

Nio and Steve are gays with a DINK lifestyle (double income, no kids) and they are completely happy.  Then Nio’s sister-in-law, Sarah, drops the news that she is being deployed to Africa (she’s in the military) but there is one big problem - Olivia.  Olivia is Nio’s niece. She is 14 and will be attending the High School for Performing Arts - it is her dream come true and she doesn’t want to give that up.

Here is the thing...kids aren’t part of the equation for Nio and Steve. Sure they thought about it - they love kids, but life happened and it never felt like the right time. Olivia’s dad (and Sarah’s ex) is not an option since his new fiancé is allergic to kids. Nio’s Mom, Clara, can’t help. She would if she could but she lives in a studio apartment only big enough for her and her over-sexed boyfriend Zjelko.

The only place to turn are the Guncles (gay uncles).
How can they say “no”? They can’t!
